Stone Stitching
Masonry repair of a dangerously cracked door lintel
Sometimes the cost of replacing a stone is not needed. The above picture shows a door head that was jacked back into its original position and stitched with a procedure using stainless steel dowls, epoxy resin and finished with a mortar to blend in with the appearance and texture of the original stone.
Letting in Stonework
The first of the pictures above show a mason cutting back damaged and perished stonework to sound stone, the next picture shows the finished completed contract after brand new stone letters had been carved and then let in and fixed.
